When closed the wood cribbage board forms a box meas. 5.08 x 3.00 x 2.00 inches with a swinging brass hook with eye to hold it closed. Inside the box all the dominoes are stored on their sides.
When unhooked and laid flat for play the board meas. 10.25 x 3.00 x 2.00 inches and has three double-rows of peg holes for keeping score. There are no pegs with the set. The double-row of peg holes along each edge are highlighted by six inlaid rectangles of lighter wood than what the box is made of. Three of the twelve inlays are missing.
The dominoes are made of ebony wood with bone tops. All are present but one. [ad][ph:L]
