Cover has a postmark for Norfolk, Va. May 30, 1951.
Left side of the envelope is decorated with a monument with a soldier at front of a column. At top of the column is an angel with upraised wings and a raised arm holding a wreath. Superimposed over the monument is a Confederate battle flag. At bottom is “FIRST DAY OF ISSUE” while at top is “UNITED CONFEDERATE VETERANS.”
Upper right hand corner has a 3 cent stamp showing a subdued bust of a young Confederate soldier with a stronger bust of a UCV Veteran in front. Stamp is canceled with “FIRST DAY OF ISSUE.”
