Offered here is a rare, nice condition, original pack of five-second time fuzes manufactured at the Richmond Arsenal in Virginia during the Civil War.
Pack is constructed of a drilled wood block that holds five paper time fuses. The block was then wrapped in a plain tan paper, stenciled to read “5 / 5 Sec. Fuzes / Richmond / Arsenal 186[4]”, and varnished. The month “June” and the “4” in the date were hand written in ink and remain readable. The package has been partially opened, with two fuzes still sealed in the package.
Very nice, with top torn open, this package displays perfectly. [jet] [ph:L]
Note: Requires shipment via UPS.
