The full title of this work is “A HISTORY OF THE FORTY-FOURTH REGIMENT NEW YORK VOLUNTEER INFANTRY IN THE CIVIL WAR 1861-1865” by Captain Eugene Arus Nash published by Morningside Bookshop, Dayton, Ohio in 1988.
Book is hardbound with blue cloth covers. Front is decorated with full color crossed National and Regimental colors. Title is in gold on the spine. Covers are in excellent condition.
Volume meas. approx. 6.25 x 9.25 inches and runs 484 pages with roster and index. Interior is very clean.
The book contains numerous photos of members of the regiment. The 44th New York is well-known for their part in the defense of Little Round Top at Gettysburg on July 2, 1863. [ad] [ph:L]
