The full title of this reference work is “FIELD ARTILLERY PROJECTILES OF THE AMERICAN CIVIL WAR: INCLUDING A SELECTION OF NAVY PROJECTILES, HAND GRENADES, ROCKETS, AND LAND MINES” by Thomas S. Dickey & Peter C. George published by Arsenal Press, Atlanta Georgia in 1980. The first page states that this is number 671 of 2000 copies. Page is signed to a previous owner by Mr. Dickey

Book meas. approx. 8.50 x 11.25 inches with red hardcovers and the title embossed on the front cover in gold with the Ordnance Department insignia below it. Title is also on the spine. Covers are wrapped in mylar and show minor edge wear while the page edges show light surface dirt.

Interior is clean and runs 511 pages with index. Page edges have yellowed some. Almost every page has a black & white image of a different shell along with data such as size, weight, sabot type etc…
