The full title this book is ““HISTORY OF THE 13TH REGIMENT N.G.S.N.Y. WITH DESCRIPTION OF THE GRAND MILITARY FAIR GIVEN IN AID OF THE ARMORY FUND OCTOBER 1894 AT THE ARMORY.”
Hardcover volume meas. approx. 8.00 x 10.00 inches and runs 184 pages. Printed cover has a collage of photographs of members of the 13th New York Regiment in the 1890s. Cover edges are solid and severely chipped. Spine is reenforced with gray duct tape. Binding is holding well. The book is fragile but readable.
Interior pages are in good condition. Volume is profusely illustrated with photographs of officers and members of the regiment from the Civil War through the 1890’s. There are several wartime photographs as well as numerous post-war images of the 13th. The text covers the history of the regiment from its militia beginnings up to 1894 with a section covering the Civil War. There are also numerous advertisements in the book with a military motif. The back cover has a wonderful full color ad for Grand Army Soap. [AD] [PH:L]
