The full title of this volume is “HISTORY OF THE DOLES-COOK BRIGADE ARMY OF NORTHERN VIRGINIA C.S.A. CONTAINING MUSTER ROLLS OF EACH COMPANY OF THE FOURTH, TWELFTH, TWENTY-FIRST AND FORTY-FOURTH GEORGIA REGIMENTS, WITH A SHORT SKETCH OF THE SERVICES OF EACH MEMBER, AND A COMPLETE HISTORY OF EACH REGIMENT, BY ONE OF ITS OWN MEMBERS” by Harry W. Thomas late of the 12th Georgia, and published in Atlanta, Georgia in 1903.
Volume is hardcover and has been nicely rebound in blue cloth with the title in gold on the spine. Covers are clean and in very nice condition. The book meas. approx. 6.00 x 9.00 inches and runs 632 pages with an index of illustrations of which there are at least 100.
Interior is in very nice condition for its age. There are no dogeared or torn pages and no markings. There is some slight, faint yellowing but otherwise it is in first class condition. A roster of every regiment in the brigade is given with remarks as to service.
Even though this copy has been rebound, it is the first original copy of this title that we have seen. [AD] [PH:L]
