The full title of this volume is “CIVIL WAR CHIEF OF SHARPSHOOTERS HIRAM BERDAN MILITARY COMMANDER AND FIREARMS INVENTOR” by Roy M. Marcot and published by Northwood Heritage Press of Irvine, California in 1989.

Volume is hardcover with a printed dustjacket. Jacket shows some minor wear on the reverse with tape used at the corners to keep the flaps in place. Interior is clean and profusely illustrated with photographs of weapons and members of Berdan’s Sharpshooters.

The book meas. 8.50 x 11.00 inches and runs 342 pages with index. Title page is inscribed by the author to a late collector and dealer.  [ad] [PH:L]
