The full title of this two volume work is “BIOGRAPHICAL REGISTER OF THE OFFICERS AND GRADUATES OF THE U.S. MILITARY ACADEMY, FROM 1802 TO 1867 REVISED EDITION, WITH A SUPLEMENT CONTINUING THE REGISTER OF GRADUATES TO JANUARY 1, 1879” by Brevet Major General George W. Cullum.
Volume one covers graduates from 1802-1840 while volume two covers 1841-1867. Each volume is bound in the original brown cloth covers that have oxidized to a purple color. Both fronts are embossed with an intertwined “USMA” on the covers. Title is in gold on the spine. Both covers show light wear with minor chipping along the spine and library labels on the lower spine.
Both volumes meas. approx. 6.00 x 9.00 inches with volume one running 665 pages and volume two running 665 pages also. Both have plain brown endpapers with good bindings. Page edges have yellowed some with age.
Cullum lists all instructors and graduates. Graduates are listed in graduating order by class. Each biography covers each man’s service to 1879. [ad] [PH:L]
