The full title of this work is “UNIFORMS OF THE CONTINENTAL ARMY” by Philip Katcher and published by George Shumway of York, Pennsylvania in 1981.
This hardbound volume is wrapped blue cloth with the title in gold ink on the cover with the figure of a light infantryman also done in gold. Title and author is repeated on the spine. Covers are in very good condition and show only minor surface dirt from age and storage.
Volume meas. approx. 8.50 x 11.00 inches and runs 230 pages with index. Volume has numerous black and white drawings and photographs of uniforms and other items relating to the subject.
Binding is excellent. Interior is clean.
Dean S. Thomas was known as a onetime Gettysburg Battlefield Guide and early relic hunter as well as the founder, owner, and operator of Thomas Publications. He was also the author of many books related to Civil War ammunition and projectiles. [ad][ph:L]
