Hardcover is bound in brown cloth with the title stamped in black ink on the front cover along with the Michigan State Seal. All is repeated on the spine. Covers are in excellent like new condition.

Volume meas. approx. 6.00 x 9.00 inches and runs 189 pages with detailed roster.

Binding is excellent and the interior is exceptionally clean.

The 2nd Michigan was organized in Detroit on May 25, 1861 and served with the3rd and 9th Corps. They saw action in many of the main campaigns of the eastern theater of war suffering heavily at Williamsburg, Fair Oaks, Jackson, Knoxville, Wilderness and the assaults on Petersburg in June of 1864.   [AD] [PH:L]
