Title page reads simply “THE 16th MICHIGAN INFANTRY” by Kim Crawford and published by Morningside of Dayton, Ohio in 2002.

Hardcover is nicely bound in powder blue cloth with the title and author in gold on the spine. Covers are in excellent like new condition. Illustrated dustjacket is also in excellent condition.

Volume meas. approx. 6.00 x 9.00 inches and runs 645 pages with roster and index. The book has 52 black & white photographs and 5 maps.

Binding is excellent and the interior is exceptionally clean.

The 16th Michigan was organized in Detroit on September 8, 1861. The regiment served with the 3rd and 5th Corps of the Army of the Potomac seeing heavy action on Little Round Top at Gettysburg on July 2, 1863. The regiment was also involved on the Peninsula, 2nd Bull Run, Fredericksburg, Gettysburg, Wilderness, Spotsylvania, North Anna, Cold Harbor and throughout the Petersburg Campaign. [AD] [PH:L]
