Small hymn book meas. approx. 3.00 x 4.50 inches with pasteboard covers. Front has the title “THE SOLDIER’S HYMN BOOK” above a hand holding a cross. Covers show moderate wear.

Hymn book was published by The Boston Young Men’s Christian Association of Boston in 1863.

Binding is holding though worn.

Title page has some pencil scribbling on it. Inside front cover and first page have a period pencil ID of “CARRIE A. ROBERTS, CAPE ELIZABETH, MAI__. NOV. 17, 1863”.  [ad] [ph:L]
