This volume contains a compilation of memorial addresses made at the first nine annual reunions of ANV Confederate veterans from 1870 to 1879. All of the papers presented related to battles and military matters by prominent officers concerning their memories of their campaigns from the Seven Days’ battles, the Valley campaign, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, the 1864 actions from the Wilderness to Cold Harbor, then the Richmond-Petersburg defense as they had witnessed and now recollected barely a decade later from the Southern perspective. This volume includes an introduction by James Robertson, Jr., who promoted its reprinting by Morningside Bookshop in 1976.
This book is in good condition with some discoloration on the top of the pages that is noticeable when the book is closed. Approximately 350 pages. Otherwise, this volume is in good condition. The pages are clean, and the binding is intact. [cla][ph:L]
