The subtitle of this book is: “Addresses delivered before the A.P. Hill Camp of Confederate Veterans of Petersburg, Virginia with addenda giving statements of participants, eye witnesses, and others in respect to Campaigns, Battles, Prison Life, and other War Experiences.” This Morningside reprint from 1981 has a heavy emphasis on the Eastern 1864 campaigns, particularly on the defense of Petersburg and the Battle of the Crater. A series of photos taken in 1892 of the Battlefield of the Crater are of particular interest in this book as well as the detailed maps of the same.
This volume is in good condition with minor foxing to the top of the pages when the volume is closed. Otherwise, its pages are clean and crisp with no folds or tears. Approximately 350 pages. The binding is clean and tight. [cla][ph:L]
