Published in 1897, this copy is one of few original examples to survive the passing of time. This definitive work chronicles the history of the 12th New Hampshire as written by Captain A. W. Bartlett, the historian of the Twelfth New Hampshire Regiment Association. Publisher is listed simply as “Ira C. Evans, Printer, 12 School Street, Concord, N.H.” and a library stamp reads “BOSTON UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF LIBERAL ARTS LIBRARY”.
Cover is dark green cloth with embossed front patterning and gold-filled text on the spine. Very slight wear to the fabric covering at the corners. All pages are complete and in excellent condition, with no overt foxing or staining, and sharp edges and corners. Dimensions are 7.5” x 10.9”.
A rare and ideal addition to the period Civil War library. [cm][ph:L]
