This uncommon title was printed by order of the War Department in three volumes, this being the third. All pages are complete with minimal wear. Original folding plates and military call sheet music still present and secure. The boards are covered with marbled paper and joined by a leather spine. Embossed spine text with gilt finish remains bright. There is board separation at the front along the spine – a result of repeated overextension that has also stretched the twine binding a bit. An edge dent is noted near the low corner of the reverse board. Dimensions are 4” x 5.8”.
A scarce wartime book for the Civil War or Cavalry focused collector. [cm][ph:L]
