In Memoriam General William T. Sherman recounts the proceedings in the New York legislature honoring General Sherman. It includes written memorials, the text of the Resolution honoring General Sherman, and reminiscences.

This volume documents the special legislative memorial exercises held at Harmanus Bleecker Hall in Albany on March 29, 1892 and features a label reading “COMPLIMENTS OF C.W. PORTER, MEMBER OF ASSEMBLY, 1893”. Cover retains light blue cloth with gilt embossments.  Staining and color loss are noted across both sides of the low cover edge, with scattered spotting as shown.  Interior and all pages are in excellent condition.  Dimensions are 7” x 10.25”.

A rare memorial piece for the fine Civil War book or Uncle Billy collector.   [cm][ph:L]
