A truly splendid opaque twist wine glass with engraving by a true master. Probably done in the Jacobite era. The butterfly was a favorite symbol of the Jacobites. A beautiful glass in outstanding condition; unpolished pontil. Stands 6 ¼” tall; bowl is 2 ½” in diameter. Base measures 2 7/8” in diameter. [ld][ph:L]
