A superior example of a two ring decanter of the federal period. Superb cut label decoration. A narrow leaf design encircles the bottle just below the neck. Etched on the front is “BRANDY” with narrow leaf design above; a larger design below extends to each side of the bottle. Unpolished pontil. Large sunburst stopper.
This decanter stands 8 ½” tall (10” including the stopper). The base measures 3 ½” in diameter. Overall excellent condition, no discernible cracks. There is one chip along the edge of the stopper. [ld][PH:L]
