Early free blown quart American decanter with two applied tripart rings and a sharp, open pontil. Decanters like these were made in all American factories that produced colorless tableware. They date from 1815-1835. This one is a large quart and stands 8 5/8" tall. Unfortunately, it is missing its glass stopper. A cork replacement is perfectly acceptable as corks have always been used when a stopper was lost or broken. [lj] [ph:L]
