A rummer is a form and not an indication of the drink they were used for. Rummers have a large tapering bowl set on a short straight stem. Rummers were used for ale, cider, spiced wines as well as rum. This rummer is lead glass with a rough pontil and is 5 3/4" tall . It was probably made in England, which is where this form was most popular. [jd/ld] [ph:L]
