Blown three-mold decanter, McKearin number  GI-29, 8 3/4" tall with an open pontil.  This decanter, made by the Boston and Sandwich Glass Co. 1825-1845, is molded with pillars and is an inexpensive copy of English cut pillar decanters from the same period.  It would have had a round, blown, rib molded stopper, but continued to be used with a cork after the original stopper was broken or lost.  [lj] [ph:L]
