An early Prussian shape decanter.  From its bulbous shape, short neck and applied tripart neck rings, this decanter can be dated 1815-1825 and was probably made in the Eastern US.  It is 8 1/4" tall without the replaced stopper.  There is a rough pontil on the bottom.  The interior shows signs of staining from heavy use but will display perfectly if filled with the beverage of your choice.  [LJ][ph:L]
