Excavated South Carolina state seal button. Approximately 22 mm. Face has a “push” in the center. A very attractive button with chocolate-brown patina under well gilted details. The Palmetto tree and motto stand out very well.
Round shank on back is bent over flat and still holds original threads in place. Backmark is “Canfield Bro & Co. Baltimor”.
