This three-piece button was the only type used by Wisconsin during the Civil War. According to Tice, uniforms of the 4th through the 8th Wisconsin probably used these buttons.
Button is in nice condition. The face has a mellow patina with some of the detail being worn down from handling.
Reverse has the shank with a depressed mark of “EXTRA QUALITY.”
Button is Tice WC200D2 and Albert’s WC 1. [ad] [ph:L]
