This three-piece button was the only type used by Wisconsin during the Civil War. According to Tice, uniforms of the 4^th through the 8^th Wisconsin probably used these buttons.

Button is in nice condition. The face has a mellow patina with some of the detail being worn down from handling.

Reverse has the shank with a depressed mark of “EXTRA QUALITY.”
