This one part, coat sized flat button depicts the state seal of Massachusetts – a Native American holding a bow and an arrow. Use of this version of the seal dates from the colonial period, intended for troops from Massachusetts. This non-dug copper button measures 24.5mm and is silvered, with an intact shank.
