Circa 1830’s 22mm one piece flat button of high quality with almost 100% gilt, and very crisp details. Features an eagle perched on a globe in a lined oval field; below the eagle is “EXCELSIOR.” Has a slight blemish above the “I”, otherwise very fine. Rope border. Shank is present. Backmark: “+IMPERIAL+/STANDARD”. Of English manufacture. Albert’s NY10. [ld][ph:L]
