An original piece of Virginia currency, being a $1 note issued from the city of Petersburg. Authorized on April 23, 1861 and issued May 13, 1861.

Interesting note with majority of text printed in italics. The note is correctly hand signed and numbered (#5784) in ink.

The note is in heavily circulated condition. The overall size of the note measures approximately 6.75” by 2.75”. The bill retains good detail.  [jet]    [ph:L]
