An original piece of Confederate money, being the $1 CSA T-71 bill featuring Clement C. Clay of Alabama in the center of the bill. Engraved and printed by Keatinge & Ball of Columbia, SC. Dated February 17th 1864. Plate letter, H. Hand serial numbered, 49503. This note has faint pink shade remaining on the front. The printing is clear and the contrast good. No pin holes, extensive folds and wrinkles, most notable on back. Falling out of frame on right and bottom edges. A typical Confederate bill. [jet] [ph:L]
