This Bond was authorized by Act of Congress CSA on the 16th of May 1861. The total number of Bonds issued were 799, this Bond is numbered 410 and was issued on the 1st of July 1861. It has an imprint of “Hoyer & Ludwig, Richmond VA.” There is an Indian prince on the left, men loading a wagon that are flanked by sailing ship and goddess Minerva on the right. This is a type 16 in Confederate Bonds; book by “Douglas B. Ball Ph. D.” There are also 14 coupons intact. [ws] [ph:L]
