Mounted in an attractive deep shadowbox-like frame, are a $5 Virginia Treasury note, a $5 bank note from Boston, and a $10 Confederate note.

1862, Virginia Treasury $5 note. Printed on white paper in black and green ink. Numbered (26430) in brown ink. Images include a portrait of the State Auditor Jonathan Bennett in center; Virtue standing over the corpse of Tyranny on right side. Back is blank.

1857, The Cochituate Bank of Boston $5 note. Printed on white paper in black ink with orange “FIVE” overprint. Numbered (3238) in brown ink. Images include sailing ships in upper left corner; a sailor in the lower right corner. Back is blank.

T-30, 1861 Confederate $10 note. This shows a group of Revolutionary War soldiers in the center and has a portrait of R.M.T. Hunter in the lower left corner. On the right side of the note is a woman (Minerva) standing in flowing robes holding a spear. This note was printed black ink on white paper; blank back. Numbered (36906) in red ink.
