An original piece of Confederate money, being the $5 CSA T-69 bill featuring a vignette of the Capitol at Richmond top center and portrait of C.G. Memminger, first CSA Secretary of the Treasury at lower, right.
Engraved and printed by Keatinge & Ball. Dated February 17th 1864. Plate letter, F. Serial number in ink, 25700. This note has a faint pink shade remaining on the front and light blue on the back. The printing is clear and the contrast good. One or two pin holes, no wrinkling. Slightly off center with complete frame. A typical Confederate bill. [jet][ph:L]
