This is an authentic 1861 dated Confederate States of America $5.00 note. This is listed as T-36 in Criswell's Confederate Currency book.
Printed in black on one side. The note retains nice tone and contrast. Numbered (204282) in red ink and signed in brown ink. Blank back. Several pin holes, light wrinkling, and some light staining. Centered well and trimmed tight.
It was issued from Richmond, Virginia and has the printed date of September 2, 1861. The note has a very nice look. [jet][ph:L]
