Original State of Missouri $5 bank note. The 1862 State of Missouri bill is a Civil War-era obsolete bank note issued out of Jefferson City and dated January 1, 1862. The note features a woman, likely representing “commerce” and a small steamboat vignette. Signed in brown ink and serial numbered in red ink (34778). Blank back.
Condition is very nice with only a couple of pin holes, no fold or wrinkles. [jet][ph:L]
