This is the envelope only (no letter) with U.S.  postage. One pink, 3 cent, George Washington postage stamp is attached at the upper right corner. The stamp has a bullseye cancelation over the stamp and clear post office cancellation to the left.  Envelope is lightly addressed in ink to Miss Frankie A. Lord, Janesville, Wisconsin.  Also written along bottom edge is “Blind Institute”.

Camp Dennison was a military recruiting, training, and medical post for the United States Army during the American Civil War. It was located near Cincinnati, Ohio, not far from the Ohio River. The camp was named for Cincinnati native William Dennison, Ohio's governor at the start of the war.
