Copy of a Congressional bill pulled from a book that meas. approx. 5.50 x 8.75. Bill is titled “GRAVES OF SOLDIERS OF THE CONFEDERATE ARMY AND NAVY ETC.” Act is dated January 18, 1906. The body of the text states that the graves of Confederate soldiers who died while prisoners of the United States are in need of repair. The bill calls for money to be set aside to repair the graves and grounds and erect marble headstones and to appoint a commissioner to oversee the project.
