This document accounts for provisions from the 26th of January to the 1st of February, when the 30th Virginia was still near their hometown of Fredericksburg after the climactic battle. After the famous Robert Stanard Chew was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel on April 19, 1862, Henry S. Doggett succeeded him as Captain of Company B.
Writing by Captain Doggett or aide is a bit faint, but still legible. Two horizontal folds section the document into thirds, and only light wear is noted along the creases with very slight separation at the edges. Dimensions are 6” x 8”. [cm][ph:L]
