Published by Currier & Ives, New York, 1870. Framed in brown rustic wooden frame, w/crenellated sides, and gilt interior trim, 20.5” x 16.5, w/white card backing and hang-wire. Interior black and white engraving, 12.5 x 8” depicts civilian Robert E. Lee, standing by Jackson’s Lexington grave.

Frame exhibit light wear and chipping of leaf pediments at each corner. Inner engraving exhibit light soiling w/a small patch of dots at the upper margin. Else VG. Exudes post-war Currier & Ives flavor. Solid Lee-Jackson collectible.  [JP] [ph:L]
