This original, Civil War era image depicts a young boy with curly locks of hair, wearing a child’s Union uniform, with kepi, knapsack and sword. He’s carrying a child’s size percussion musket over his right shoulder. “Published by Currier & Ives,” is printed in lower left corner and “152 Nassau St New York.” is printed in lower right corner. Paper has yellowed with age and shows spotting all over. Image is clear and colors are bright.
Print measures 9 ½” x 13 ¾”, is double matted and housed in wood frame. Frame measures approx. 14” x 19”. Frame is in very good condition with some small scattered nicks. Reverse has wire for hanging purposes. [sm][ph:L]
