Pre-printed discharge form completed in ink. Perhaps this soldier never received his official discharge at the time, as this form is dated September 1887!

Full sheet with eagle graphic on top. Private John Stewart enlisted in Captain Joseph McKee's Company B (Osage County) of Missouri Home Guard on June 24, 1861, and served to November 20, 1861. This is likely a form he needed upon seeking a pension.
