This general order was issued just as the Army of the Potomac was preparing to begin the line of march that would culminate in the Battle of Chancellorsville.

Text:  “Before all marches the Regimental Surgeons will give tickets to all the sick for the day who are unable to keep up with their companions. Captains, subalterns and non-commissioned officers will not permit other to fall behind and will be held responsible for any neglect of the this order.” On the reverse: “Dr. B. Rohrer /Surgeon 10th Regt./ Tickets”
