Interior illustrations include a pair featuring actions of the Army of the Potomac at Kelly’s Ford, including Sleeper’s Massachusetts Battery, as well as a magnificent double page double-page centerfold—“THANKSGIVING DAY/ THE UNION ALTAR, featuring surrounding vignettes—“The Army,”—"The Navy”—”Washington/Lincoln”—"Town”—"Country”—“Emancipation.” “Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 1863.” Also a grisly depiction of “The Prisons at Richmond—Union Troops Prisoners at Belle Isle.”
