Front cover features a full length illustration of Sheridan’s famous ride at Cedar Creek—“PHIL SHERIDAN’S RIDE TO THE FRONT, OCTOBER 19, 1864”—with next page story. Also a fine centerspread featuring depictions of “General Butler’s Canal At Dutch Gap”,  “Soldiers Building Roads In Front of Petersburg”, and a “View of United States Military Railroad Before Petersburg.” Also a sketch “Bomb-Proof Rifle-Pit In Front of Petersburg.”

Exhibits mounting dots and light chipping along left margin. Heavier amount of chipping along top and side edges; a few small tears along left edge of front page. One horizontal fold line. This is the Harper’s Weekly “Sheridan’s Ride”/Cedar Creek issue. Solid collectible. In protective sleeve, w/white card backing.  [ld] [ph:L]
