The front cover leads with coverage of “The Capture of Fort Fisher.,” and sketches of Union commander Gen. Alfred Terry, the “Landing of Soldiers and sailors Above Fort Fisher, January 18, 1865.” Interior illustrations include a magnificent panoramic center-fold of “The Assault and Capture of Fort Fisher, January 15, 1865.” Plus, “General Kilpatrick’s Head-Quarters In Savannah, January 11, 1865,” and “The Destruction of the Rebel Ram “Savannah” By the Enemy On the Eve of the Federal Occupation of Savannah.”

Exhibits mounting dots and light chipping of left margin; 3 ½” tear to page 69/70, inward from lower left edge. One small modern tape repair to last page.  Else VG to fine, a nice clean copy. Superb collectible. [jp/ld] [ph:L]
