Lee’s appointment at President of Washington College in Lexington, VA;  titled “A Perfect Model,”  piece stating that Lee was a soldier  “educated by his country, who, confessing that he nor any man had provocation, drew his sword  to stab her to the heart……This is the “Grand and Heroic” character  which American youth are invoked to venerate. They will obey the summons when they have learned to admire Benedict Arnold.”

Exhibits mounting dots and torn lower left corner. Else near fine. Solid collectible. In protective sleeve, with white card backing.  [jp][ph:L]
