No. 361-Vo. 364.  16 pp., [353-368], three columns, plus illustrations & cartoons. Exhibits slight stain the length of left front margin, rear page detached. Else VG and entirely legible.

Front cover features graphic rendering of the murder of Federal general Robert McCook—“General M’Cook Waylaid and Murdered by Rebel Guerrillas, While Sick and Wounded in his Ambulance, on His Way From Salem, Alabama, To Join His Brigade.”

Other illustrations include a double page panoramic view of the “The Battle of Slaughter Mountain [Cedar Mountain] fought Between national Troops commanded by General Banks, and the Rebel Army commanded by General Jackson, Ewell, & Final Repulse of the Rebels.” Other illustrations include “the War in Virgina—Bringing the Wounded To Culpepper Court House”, and “Secesh Farmer , On the Way to the Provost Marshal’s headquarters.” Also the “First and Last—Dress Review of the 1st Regiment South Carolina Volunteers, On Hilton Island, S.C., Under Colonel Fessenden.”

Solid Civil War Frank Leslie’s issue, published at the time of the Second Battle of Bull Run. In protective sheath, w/ white card backing.  [jp][ph:L]
