Front cover feature two illustrations—[1]“Ordnance Stores Captured With Fort McAllister—Lieutenant Spencer’s Headquarters”, [2] “General Sherman’s Army Entering Savannah, December 21, 1864. Interior illustrations include a full page panoramic depiction of “General Hazen’s Division, Fifteenth Corps, Storming Fort McAllister, December 13, 1864.” Plus a sketch of “Kilpatrick’s Last Charge At Waynesborough, Ga, December 4, 1864.”
Exhibits a good deal of chipping and minor tears along edges; front page also has folds and tears along remaining edges. Front page as well as page 19/20 have separated from remaining pages; pgs. 21-28 remain together, as do 29-32. Light spots of yellow & foxing throughout. Interesting “Sherman/Savannah” Collectible.
