The Liberator was a weekly abolitionist newspaper founded and edited by William Lloyd Garrison and Isaac Knapp in Boston, Massachusetts, running for 35 years from January 1, 1831, to December 1865. It was the most influential antislavery periodical in the United States, advocating for immediate emancipation, equal rights, and, notably, Women's Suffrage.

Signature of E. W. (?) Stacy in period ink noted at top right and in pencil at top left.  Foxing and wear as shown along edges, folds, and creases – intact at the center fold.

An important piece of US social and political history.   [cm] [ph:L]
