The length of the drawn bayonet is approx. 14.00 inches. The clean bright blade meas. approx. 9.75 inches with a central unstopped fuller of 6.75 inches. Blade edge and point are excellent. One ricasso is marked “F.G.” over “GY.” The opposite ricasso is stamped with an eagle.
Iron guard is also bright and stamped with the number “556.”
Wood grips are in very nice condition with a bright pommel and a working latch.
Blued metal scabbard is undented and retains 98% of its finish. Front of the scabbard has a rectangular stud for attaching to the frog.
